Loukia Chorafa, Marketing Director from Mastercard: “We were impressed by Finnish top-class fintech know-how”.
Mastercard, a pioneer in digital payment solutions, and the recently launched mobile banking service SweepBank have started a cooperation. This is the first Mastercard giveback campaign in Finland, through which SweepBank's customers will receive a ten-euro refund for the first purchase made with a Mastercard mobile card worth more than 50 euros.
“SweepBank's rapid growth in the Finnish market and the Finnish top-class fintech know-how behind it made a great impression on us, which is why we decided to start this cooperation. We believe that SweepBank's ambitious goals and aim to develop the service together with its customers will support the bank's growth in the future as well”, says Loukia Chorafa, Marketing Director from Mastercard.
SweepBank has grown its Finnish customer base rapidly, and the service has attracted more than 30,000 new customers in the first six weeks. SweepBank hopes that the Mastercard partnership and giveback campaign will also attract new customers to use the service.
“It is great that Mastercard has chosen SweepBank as the first partner in the giveback campaign in Finland. SweepBank is a new and still quite unknown service, although Ferratum Bank p.l.c., which is offering the SweepBank service, is not a new player in the banking industry. SweepBank believes that the cooperation with Mastercard will inspire trust among customers”, says Elina Himberg, Marketing Director at Multitude, responsible for marketing at SweepBank.
Both sides assure that similar campaigns will be launched in the future as the cooperation progresses. Mastercard will continue to be involved in the development of the SweepBank service in addition to SweepBank's other partners and customers. SweepBank's ambitious goal is to be the first smartbank in Finland.
SweepBank is a new mobile bank that wants to revolutionize the way banks serve their customers and get involved in their lives.
